Chiropractic care can help you with the diagnosis, treatment, and management of conditions related to your musculoskeletal system (your joints, muscles, and nerves).
Chiropractic offer a hands-on approach to alleviate pain and improve function, addressing the cause of the problem at its source. We conduct a detailed examinations to determine if chiropractic is the right treatment for you. Treatment is mainly focused on the function of the neuromusculoskeletal system (nerves, muscles and joints).
Chiropractic is a government regulated profession in the UK. In order to practise in the UK all chiropractors must have undertaken an undergraduate masters degree course at a recognised university to be able to register with the General Chiropractic Council (GCC). Some chiropractors go on to complete a one year post-graduate development course (PRTs) and can become registered members of the Royal College of Chiropractors. To retain their annual registration chiropractors are required to continually update their skills through continued professional development (CPD) each year.
Your first appointment includes:
- Taking a history of your condition
- Medical history
- Examination
- Report of findings
- First treatment (if appropriate)
Through the appropriate history taking and examination we will formulate a diagnosis, and if you are happy, we follow up by providing the appropriate treatment. In some cases the treatment we can offer may not be the best option for you, in which case we would make the appropriate referral on you behalf, and support you in finding a solution to your problem.
